The Parthenon is an ancient temple on the Acropolis, a hill overlooking what European city? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the Wonders of the Ancient World, is in which present-day country? Fifteen members of Mrs. Simonds’ Geography Team answered these questions and more as they competed to win the schoolwide Geography Bee on Thursday, January 5th. Congratulations to sixth grader, Kyle Weirether, for winning the competition and congratulations to his fellow teammates and competitors for their interest and desire to learn more about geography. Kyle’s next step is to move on to the regional competition in Middlebury. Good luck, Kyle!
