The Discovery Program is an essential school program which addresses the needs of those students in kindergarten through sixth grade who need additional instruction in reading and writing. Students are identified through assessments, standardized testing and the Educational Support Team (EST). The Discovery Program is a flexible program allowing for enrollment throughout the school year as the need arises. Students are taught in small groups or "one-on-one". Progress is monitored throughout the program. The Discovery Program is a collaborative effort using the expertise of the reading specialist and the classroom teacher as well as the EST team.
